Inclusive Insurance

This Working Group is co-coordinated by two countries and has the following mandate:

Facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences in the regulation and supervision of inclusive insurance, as well as topics defined by the WG members, which may include the following: market conduct, specific regulation for microinsurance, innovative product design, distribution channels, use of digital services, financial education of the insurance consumer and other topics of common interest;
To foster constant communication from members, in order to identify their concerns, as well as topics in which further training is required, to bring them to the attention of the Board of Directors and the ASSAL Secretariat.
The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) defines Inclusive Insurance as “insurance aimed at the market excluded or underserved” by traditional insurance products.
